passport and travel the globe with author/illustrator Kathleen
Bart to explore the cultures and cuisines of the world.
Learn about multicultural celebrations, traditions, costumes and
cuisines without ever having to leave the classroom.
Kathleen’s colorful illustrations and lively anecdotes bring each
region of the world to life. Based on the illustrations and
cultural information in "Global Gourmet", this fact filled program
is a lesson in history, culture, diversity, and geography.
This interactive 55 minute program is a virtual tour of the
globe and is personalized for students grades 4 through 8.
ABOUT KATHLEEN:
Kathleen’s art
and design career began in the world of fashion as a
designer for Polo Ralph Lauren. Currently a full time author
and illustrator, Kathleen is also a teaching artist with the
Nassau and Suffolk BOCES Arts in Education Program on Long Island.
She has presented her programs in schools, libraries,
and museums nationwide. Her programs and books have
been featured:
1. Nationwide on CBS News Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood,
2. Nationwide On C-Span Book TV
3. At the Smithsonian -National Museum of American History
4. In The New York Times, Newsday, and through AP Wire Releases.
